Following the recent tragic death of a nine-year-old boy after a brutal beating by his mother’s boyfriend, WRAG president Tamara Copeland asks whether philanthropy is doing enough to improve circumstances for children before things go this far.
She, in partnership with Dr. Kathy Kretman, director of the Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership and research professor at the McCourt School, will explore the role of philanthropy in addressing racial equity in the DC region and co-teach a graduate seminar on philanthropy and racial justice.
An update on how WRAG will continue to elevate and embed racial equity in our work in an ongoing and meaningful way.
