Last week, Yanique Redwood, president and CEO of the Consumer Health Foundation and chair of WRAG’s board of directors, announced her decision to resign from the board for personal and professional reasons. While we are saddened by the decision and will miss her thoughtful and engaged leadership, we fully respect the decision and are fortunate that Nicky Goren, president and CEO of the Meyer Foundation and current vice chair of WRAG’s board will move immediately into the position of Chair.
WRAG has a longstanding connection to the Meyer Foundation. It was founded through the leadership of Julie Rogers, former Meyer CEO. Nicky has been a part of the WRAG community for nearly a decade, first at the Washington Area Women’s Foundation and now at Meyer. Under her leadership, the Meyer Foundation has adopted, thoughtfully and strategically, a commitment to the pursuit of racial equity.
Nicky’s tenure as WRAG Board Chair begins immediately. We are grateful for Yanique’s time with WRAG.
