WRAG's Children, Youth, and Families Working Group (CYF) will be hosting "Advancing Early Education Collaborative Briefing" on February 10.
JPMorgan Chase recently announced a 20M commitment in Ward 7 and 8 to help close the racial wealth divide. During the CYF Working Group meeting, participants will be briefed on the purpose of Advancing Early Education Collaborative, who will receive a 5M three-year commitment from JPMorgan Chase. The Advancing Early Education Collaborative is a partnership to increase access to education, skills, and training opportunities, as well as wealth building and capacity building for early childhood educators and the centers that employ them.

On February 11, 2022 WRAG's Healthy Communities Working Group (HWCG) will be hosting :
“Deeply Rooted: History’s Lessons for Equity in Northern Virginia”, released in December 2021.
This report demonstrates disparities in education, income, housing, along with the harmful health effects of chronic exposure to discrimination, as products of history and are chiefly responsible for the large gaps in life expectancy that exist today

CAREER PATHWAYS 2022 COHORT SELECTED TO REPRESENT THE FUTURE OF PHILANTHROPIC LEADERSHIP
From the Article |"The Council on Foundations today announced the selection of 51 philanthropy professionals for participation in Career Pathways, a leadership development program designed to diversify the talent pipeline for executive-level roles in Philanthropy. In this highly selective program, mid- to senior-level professionals from diverse backgrounds enhance their leadership skills, expand their networks, and build their field-level expertise to advance equity and strengthen the philanthropic sector’s impact. The members of the spring and fall classes will represent the tenth and eleventh cohorts in the program’s history."

Celebrate Black History Month in the DMV
