ABFE, A Philanthropic Partnership for Black Communities
|
|
Let's get ready to Harambee! We are excited to come together in person for the nation's largest convening of Black professionals in philanthropy - ABFE's 2022 Annual Conference, April 21st-23rd in Washington DC.
Meet us at the main stage (or online) for a series of thought-provoking plenaries focused on subjects important to Black communities, such as voting rights, federal policies, and Black family philanthropy. Additionally, attend a host of curated sessions designed to amplify ABFE's ten imperatives for the philanthropic sector.

This panel will focus on how women CEO's lead their team toward a more just and equitable organization. We will explore what it means to build the collective power of Black and brown people, advance equitable grantmaking, and build a supportive Board.

Partnership to End Homelessness Awards Housing Justice Grants in Honor of Waldon Adams

Truist Foundation Partners with Connect Humanity to Advance the Internet Connectivity Space and Establish Digital Equity
From the Article | "Truist Foundation announced today it has awarded a $10 million grant to Connect Humanity, a nonprofit focused on advancing digital equity among historically marginalized communities. The grant will be used to strengthen Connect Humanity's current efforts in providing financing, tools, training and network builds to eliminate the digital divide. As more organizations and individuals adopt fully remote and digital work, the digital divide continues to expand, and barriers to entry deepen because of it. This Truist Foundation grant serves as an opportunity to advance the internet connectivity space and provide affordable and accessible training and networks for underconnected communities."
