Washington Area Women's Foundation releases new data on poverty among women and girls

The Washington Area Women’s Foundation has released the first in a series of research briefs this year that will provide updates on key data from their 2010 publication, A Portrait of Women and Girls in the Washington Metropolitan Area. This edition, with support from Capital One, provides a gendered look at poverty in a region where women and girls experience poverty at a higher rate than men.
