2021 Annual Meeting | Our Reimagined Journey

Wednesday, September 29, 2021

It’s that time again! The 2021 Annual Meeting of the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers (WRAG) is upon us. The board and staff of WRAG are excited to welcome the Greater Washington region’s robust nonprofit sector, including the most generous foundations, corporate giving programs, and individuals. Whether a national grantmaker or local philanthropist, this conference is for everyone.

On Friday, November 12, 2021, we will continue to move power to residents and community led movements through featured panels of grassroot nonprofit leaders from the Greater Washington region and discuss the impact that cash might have on poverty, violence, and improving the lives of all who live here, especially the Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities that have been most impacted by racism and lagging systems change. After deep listening with members, partners, friends and community, WRAG will unveil its new strategic plan and the initiatives that WRAG will support to foster a more racially just and equitable Greater Washington Region.

The conference dialogue develops mutual accountability between philanthropy and nonprofits by illuminating what philanthropy has missed, sharing how communities, nonprofits, and mutual aid networks have been filling those gaps, and creating partnerships, so the residents of this region can thrive. WRAG’s 2021 Annual Meeting will bring us together, not just to collaborate, but to chart the path toward our reimagined journey in the Greater Washington Region.
