Our Demand Generation Specialist is responsible for executing BoardSource’s digital marketing demand generation strategies related to our member community — acquisition, retention, and engagement. They will work closely with the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing to use buyer personas, marketing automation, and other digital marketing tools and technology to enhance our understanding of our community’s needs and, in turn, tailor our outreach and content to provide greater value throughout the customer journey. Additionally, this position will help monitor, track, and analyze metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of targeted digital outreach campaigns and strategies to support data-driven decisions to increase member satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with at least two years of experience in digital marketing and a passion for the nonprofit sector. Candidates must have experience with marketing automation, member engagement and CMS platforms (HubSpot, HigherLogic and WordPress), and website analytics and reporting (e.g., Google Analytics). Individuals should have experience identifying target audiences, driving web traffic, analyzing marketing campaign data, and a solid understanding of inbound marketing approaches and tactics. The successful candidate will be a positive-minded, creative digital marketer with strong project management, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to leverage data for decision-making. Experience with Salesforce and an understanding of standard query logic is a plus. Candidates must be interested in learning and understanding nonprofit board leadership and have the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment as well as independently.
