The Gannett Foundation, established in 1991, supports the philanthropic work of Gannett by providing over $3M in community-based grants in more than 100 markets, national investments to support field development and matches to employee donations. Gannett is in search of a talented college student looking for an enriching paid corporate social responsibility internship.
Gannett Foundation & Corporate Responsibility Summer 2019 Internship- Mclean, VA
Come join Gannett, Inc., a Fortune 500 global digital media company for a 2019 Spring/Summer Internship. As part of the Gannett team, you will develop and apply skills and experience to support our Foundation and Corporate Social Responsibility. The purpose of the internship experience is to provide opportunities through which undergrad and grad students can develop and grow by contributing to and supporting the work of the Gannett Foundation and the company’s CSR initiatives. The Foundation is housed in the young, fun marketing group at the company’s headquarters.
Foundation/CSR intern will support the team by assisting with grant review and due diligence, employee volunteerism and engagement initiatives, database support, processing grants and other tasks and projects as assigned.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university with a GPA of at least 3.0
- Preferred Majors: Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Innovation, Public Administration, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration
- Extra consideration given to those who possibly could stay through the 19-20 academic year.
Required skill sets:
- Detail oriented, well-organized, adaptable, ﬂexible, strong MS
Office and PC skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a team
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Interest in community investment, corporate citizenship, volunteerism. Previous
internship experience a plus.
