DC education and youth development funders are invited to a special briefing with Dr. Amanda Alexander, interim chancellor of DC Public Schools, and Ahnna Smith, former interim deputy mayor for education. Dr. Alexander and Ms. Smith will provide an update on their priorities for the 2018-2019 school year and advise funders on how the philanthropic community can help to ensure a seamless transition for kids, teachers, administrators, and families. Following their remarks will be audience Q&A, as well as a funders-only debrief and conversation.
This program is hosted by the Lois and Richard England Family Foundation, Venture Philanthropy Partners, The World Bank Group, and WRAG’s Children, Youth & Families Working Group.
