There is a lot of talk about equity, diversity and inclusion in the social sector. How can foundations work to ensure that EDI efforts move beyond lip service and actually create meaningful change within our organizations and ultimately in the issues and communities we care most about? One key way is to build the internal capacity to do so through all foundation functions, from strategy and governance, to operations and programming.
Come share your successes and challenges with diversity, equity, and inclusion. This program will include remarks from two foundations on their EDI efforts, ample opportunity for questions and discussion, and structured small group discussion around making progress in advancing EDI.
Light refreshments will be served, and an optional lunch will be provided following the program.
Who Should Attend: This program is open to foundation donors, trustees, and staff; individual donors; donor advised fund holders; members of giving circles; board and staff of philanthropic support organizations.
Thank you to the Weissberg Foundation for generously hosting and providing lunch for this program. This program is co-sponsored by Exponent Philanthropy, Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers, and the Southeastern Council of Foundations.
