Join the Health Working Group (HWG) at its annual retreat to connect with your colleagues, share your priority issues, consider lessons learned from our grantmaking and non-grantmaking work, and help HWG set its agenda for the next year. We will be joined by Tamara Copeland, WRAG president, who will update us on WRAG's priorities and programming.
We will look at, among other things:
- What makes for a healthy community, how our work contributes to that, and how we can work with other WRAG groups and non-health funders to help address the social and economic determinants of health
- How health reform implementation in the region - expanded coverage and other changes in the organization and delivery of services – is impacting the region’s low-income residents and safety net clinics and what the implications are for our individual and collective work
Additional background information, the agenda, and details on the location will be sent to those who register. Please contact either Mindy Rubin, HWG Chair, or Phyllis Kaye, HWG Consultant, if you have any questions or specific items you would like to see on the agenda. We plan to start with coffee and networking at 9am and end no later than 3pm. Location will be metro accessible, in D.C. , with parking nearby.
