More and more, local funders desire to invest their resources into projects or initiatives that utilize a racial equity lens. However, it is not always clear how to integrate racial equity into priorities and funding decisions around specific issue areas. In this session, Stephanie Schmit and Ruth Cosse from CLASP's Child Care and Early Education team will discuss racial inequities in early care and education systems, how policies can advance or hinder racial equity, and implications for philanthropy when considering investment decisions in the early childhood education space.
Thank you to the Washington Area Women’s Foundation’s Early Care and Education Funders Collaborative for co-hosting this discussion.
