Join WRAG for Foundations on the Hill 2018!
Foundations on the Hill (FOTH) is an annual convening that brings together foundation leaders from across the country for meetings with Congress about key issues of importance to foundations and philanthropy. FOTH is presented by United Philanthropy Forum in partnership with the Alliance for Charitable Reform and Council on Foundations. This is the first year that WRAG will take a FOTH delegation from the Greater Washington region.
The overall purpose of Foundations on the Hill is to:
- Inform and educate Congress about philanthropy
- Create visibility for foundations and philanthropy on Capitol Hill
- Advocate on issues affecting foundations
- Encourage Congress to view foundations as resources on key public policy issues
Regardless of your experience doing policy work or participating in legislative visits, we invite and encourage you to join the WRAG delegation!
FOTH is the one time each year when philanthropy speaks with a strong, collective voice on Capitol Hill. Through our meetings, we will build relationships with our members of Congress, educate them about philanthropy’s impact in our region, better position our members as resources on public policy issues and connect with other funders interested in public policy.
