Community Wealth Building Initiative Briefing & Call for MORE Action

Four years ago, WRAG convened funders to learn about how worker-owner businesses comprising the Evergreen Cooperatives were moving families out of poverty in Cleveland, OH. The briefing inspired a group of funders to support a study to determine whether the model held promise here in our region. Now, we are excited to announce that the first CWBI business has been launched: the Community Clean Water Management Group in Prince George’s County. Join leaders from across the Greater Washington region to learn about CWBI, the impact of this business model on individuals and communities, and the vision for CWBI into the future.
