Nonprofit board service is the ultimate leadership opportunity, giving employees the opportunity to stretch their skills, work in new environments and with people from diverse backgrounds, all while improving the communities where they live and work. According to CECP’s 2016 Giving in Numbers, companies that offer board leadership programs, regardless of what other volunteer programs they offer, have the highest employee participation rates at 35.9%. At this session, we’ll explore trends and best practices in employee board service and offer tips for how to start, formalize, and enhance your board leadership program.

Opening Speaker:
Bob Wittig, co-author of Nonprofit Board Service for the GENIUS

Panelists:
Graham McLaughlin, Managing Director Community Impact Program - Advisory Board Company
Tamara Gifford, Community Relations Manager - Bank of America
