We are often troubled by the limited number of national funders in our region, as well as the resources that skip local organizations to financially support locally-located, national organizations. 

 

Dr. Alan Abramson and his colleague Dr. Stefan Toepler, both of George Mason University, have written a paper entitled, "The Puzzle of a Modest-Size Foundation Sector in a Wealthy Area." Their research addresses the need for more funds in the region and strategies to make that happen. Alan will provide WRAG CEOs with a preview of the paper and lead a conversation about the role that philanthropy and WRAG might play in strengthening and maximizing investments in our region.
