Help us celebrate the third annual Get a BEER* and Undo Nonprofit Power Dynamics Day (GBUNPD for short) on Thursday, June 21, 2018, this year’s Summer Solstice.

In 2016, Vu Le, author of the popular blog Nonprofit AF, proposed a now annual day where nonprofits, funders and foundation trustees gather without an agenda to help decrease the power dynamics so present in our sector.

WRAG is partnering with Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Weissberg Foundation, National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, and United Philanthropy Forum to host this happy hour.

We’ll provide drinks and appetizers; all you need to bring is one or two staff members from the nonprofit organizations you fund to just hang out. This is a great opportunity to strengthen relationships, continue making funding processes more effective and equitable, and to have fun!

Funders: Once you have identified the grantee partner(s) who will be accompanying you, RSVP here by June 14th!

We’ll be gifting a copy of The Unicorns: A Nonprofit Relationship Guide Book to the first 10 pairs (nonprofit and grantmaker) who sign up for our happy hour, so start reaching out to your grantees to see who’s available to join you on June 21.

Please reach out to Kyle Rinne at rinne@geofunders.org if you have any questions, and join us for happy hour on June 21, to continue to making your funding process more effective and equitable.

*BEER stands for “Beverage to Enhance Equity in Relationships,” and does not have to be alcoholic.
