This highly interactive training will allow funders to explore how to overcome existing challenges and begin institutionalizing the practices needed to address structural racialization, implicit bias, white privilege, and more.
Earlier this year, WRAG hosted the first in a series of training sessions on how to apply a racial equity lens to grantmaking. Next, we will delve deeper, providing concrete experiences on how to use a racial equity lens that can then be translated into your day-to-day work as a program officer, foundation executive, or CSR professional.
In the final grantmaking for racial equity session, funders will be introduced to a tool that helps you carry out a “racial equity impact analysis” to understand the potential impacts of foundation policies and practices on different racial/ethnic groups.
For years, African-Americans have left unaddressed comments that unconsciously demean or disparage them. This holding back has had both a psychological and a physical impact. In this interactive session, you will gain a new level of comfort in talking about race and in calling out situations that advantage or disadvantage one race over another when they occur.
