WHY ATTEND?
1) Effective philanthropy depends on new ideas. In a rapidly changing world, we must seek out new ideas and challenge our current assumptions.
2) Hard times demand more collaboration. It's never been more important for the social sector to pull together.
3) Collaboration is critical to BIG Change. To create greater/lasting impact, what you know, who you know, and how you plan are crucial.

NEW REPORT
On November 12, Washington Grantmakers will also release Beyond Dollars: Investing in BIG Change, illuminating the role that philanthropy plays in creating lasting change. (Produced with support from The World Bank)

WG's PICKS:

Things to Watch

Should Foundations Speak in Human Voices?
This "diavlog"
(dialog+video+blog. Seriously!) starts off with some Twitter talk, but evolves into the larger question of giving your foundation a personality, story-telling, deciding who speaks for the organization, and "putting humans at the center." Interesting stuff, and an engaging format. (Communications Network, Sept. 2009)
