Postponed: CYF Working Group: 2013 Planning Session - How Can We Move Our Agenda Forward?

Date: 9/25/2012
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers 1400 16th Street NW, Suite 740

Eligible to attend: All WRAG members

This meeting has been postponed. The new date will be announced soon.

Please join members of the Children, Youth, and Families Working Group for a conversation about how best to move our shared agenda forward, building on the completion of our Children's Mental Health Learning Series. Over the last 18 months, CYF members have examined issues of children's mental health through the lens of the family and the community, focusing on such stressors as poverty, isolation, and trauma, the continuum of care and services offered, and federal and local laws and funding streams for mental health supportive services.

At our upcoming session, we will discuss opportunities for continued learning, as well as collaboration with other funders, nonprofits, and county and municipal jurisdictions to advance policies that positively impact the children's mental health agenda. We will look at how CYF can best be structured to bring programs of interest and value to group members, and think about how CYF's potential roles - as catalyst, convener, funder, communicator, etc. - can have the greatest impact on children and families in our region.

All WRAG members are welcome and encouraged to participate in this important conversation; prior participation in the Children's Mental Health Learning Series is not required. To receive the notes from prior sessions, contact Erica Pressman
